Þegar Þorsteinn var vinnumaður á Bjólu bjó ekkja á næsta bæ, sem átti ferhyrndan hrút, er var svo mikill að enginn teysti sér til að skera hann. Bauðst Þorsteinn að lokum til þess og fékk höfuð hans í skurðarlaun. Dugði ullin af höfðinu í þrenna sjóvettlinga. Eitt sinn kom gandreið er hann bjó á Bjólu og settist á Bjólugarð. Hrundu þá úr honum 50 faðmar...
