Min Bedstemoder gned sine Børn med Hvidløg under Fødderne og på Brystet, for så kunde Troldtøjet ikke gjøre det nogen Skade eller forbytte det, når de var afklædte og skulde i Seng. Hun har sagtens også gjort det ved mig, for hun har da gjort det ved min Søster. (Sjælland.) Anna Ludv.
I Gassehøje, Skjærbæk, skal der have været meget Troldtøj. Man siger endnu for Spøg, når nogen vil til Gasse: »No, vil do øwwer te di Gasse Trolld i Daw.« De bortslæbte altid Folks Bageredskaber, Skydsel og Gridsel (Gestenfjæl).
