Det var i 1813 eller 14, da lå der to russiske skibe med korn og var frosne fast i isen lige ned for Skade skov. En mængde bønder blev tilsagt, endogså tre mil ind i landet, rundt omkring Århus, til at kjøre ned over isen til skibene, hver efter seks tønder korn og ind til Århus med. Det var også kongekjøren.
