Nær ved Stavreby kirke har der ligget et slot, som i meget gamle dage skal have været et kloster, og derfor hedder bakken derude endnu Klosternakken (?). Fra klosteret gik der en underjordisk gang til kirken. Stavreby kirke skulde have ligget midt på "øen", men blev om natten ført ud til strandbredden, hvor den nu står. fr. c
