Da den gamle pastor P. Storm i Egtved var død og lå på strå, kom svigersønnen ind i storstuen, hvor han lå, og vilde hente en bog. Så rejste liget sig op på strået og grinede ad ham, og han måtte trække sig baglænds ud af stuen, ellers havde han sprunget på ryggen af ham og knust ham. Den dag han blev jordet, og de kom hjem igjen, sad han for bordenden....
