Køerne skal sættes på græs en kjøddag, d. e. søndag, tirsdag ellers torsdag, for at de skal blive ved godt huld og give megen mælk. Disse dage kaldes således, fordi man da i modsætning til de andre dage i ugen fik lijødspise til middag. De andre dage fik man ferhen i Østfyen mad, tillavet af mælk, men ingen kjødmad.
